Periodontal Treatment
Gums are important to oral health, so it is important to care for your gums in order to keep a healthy mouth.
Gingivitis (early gum infection) is a common problem that is corrected by regular cleaning at six monthly check-up or more regularly if needed. Good oral hygiene at home is also important.
Periodontitis (more severe gum disease) can lead to more serious effects on oral health including gum recession, spaces developing between teeth, bone loss, loose teeth and even loss of teeth.
Hence it is as important to regularly monitor and assess for signs of gum infection and treat by thorough cleaning.
