Dr Sharon Pimley was born and grew up in Wales, in the United Kingdom, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Wales in 1988. This is where Dr Sharon worked in the fast-paced environment of the NHS until she briefly emigrated to Saudi Arabia, returning to the United Kingdom to raise her children surrounded by family.

After backpacking around Australia in the ‘90s, Dr Sharon knew that she wanted to return and, in 2013, she made that dream a reality when she moved with her family to the Redlands. Dr Sharon now proudly calls the Redlands home and has done so for the last 8 years.

Now that Dr Sharon’s children have moved on to university, she believes now to be the perfect time to build a dental practice reflecting her personal and professional values. Vehemently believing that a bright smile results in a significant improvement in a person’s general quality of life, Dr Sharon provides a welcoming and friendly environment for all, whilst ensuring the highest treatment standards. Dr Sharon is a firm believer that the best results can only be achieved where the patient is comfortable and relaxed, whether that be children or adults. Having a two-way conversation with the patient to ensure they are aware of all treatment options, to meet all budgets, is a staple of Dr Sharon’s clinical procedure.

Dr Sharon has decades of experience in all aspects of general dentistry but is particularly proud of what she has been able to achieve for her patients with veneers and dentures. Dr Sharon has also undertaken extensive professional development to provide an exceptionally high standard of cosmetic dentistry, including tooth whitening, clear aligners, fixed adult orthodontics and antiwrinkle injectables and fillers. Dr Sharon is keenly familiar with the power of injectables to relieve pain from grinding and clenching, and firmly believes it to be a treatment which is either underappreciated or underutilised by others in the dental profession.

If you know Dr Sharon outside of dentistry, you’d know that she is a lover of the natural world. From walking tracks with her family and dog (‘Sookie’) to whale watching and scuba diving with Bull Sharks, Sharon is always looking for adventure, though she insists that she’s just as happy in the garden with a good book (though it would probably be an adventure book).
